What is LED

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. Normally you would find these types of lights in the standby light of you video recorder or bed side clock radio etc.

LED's are really small electronic lights that are easily used in electronic circuits. The advantage of LED is that they have no filament like a normal light bulb that can burn out and also does not get extreamly hot. They are also long lasting and very hardy, thus lasting for a very long time.
